Valentine Table With Passion!

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?  Have you planned anything special?  Dinner out....a movie.....dinner in with a special home cooked meal.  It is a special day,  however I think everyday  should be filled with love. I set this table with the blingy plate chargers with mirror.  I am using our crown plates.  The cute little heart bottles were found at Michaels. I simply added a single red rose.

Love symbols...Kisses and Hugs.  I found this cute item at Safeway. I couldn't find a price, so I took it up front to self check out and asked the cashier about the price. He called the floral department.  There was no codes and only 1 left, so they sold it to me for $2.24.  What a deal!

I love using our bling candle holders.  So much elegance!  The pearls are another lovely addition.

The black dessert always comes in handy for serving or adding accessories. Tall silver candle holders sit on each side of the silver cake stand. I added those pearl strands and red candles to make a bigger impact. The silver dessert cloche is also from Safeway.
I am up to my old tricks again, using silver pillow cases on our chairs. I added a red chair sash to complement the red accents on this table.  After all, it is a passion table.
So many of you asked about the rose napkin, so I thought I would share the video I learned it from.

Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!

A little festivity never hurt anyone! Add some fun to your life with a glitzy Mardi Gras table. Home Goods is where I found this pretty gold cake pedestal.  The gold goblets are from Zgallerie. The purple compotes are from Walmart.

In the Mardi Gras colors, purple represents justice, green represents faith, and gold represents power.

Gotta love this dancing King Jester.
I found him at Pier1.

Rich bold colors of gold, purple and green.
The traditional Mardi Gras song is La Danse de Mardi Gras.

Gold chargers with pretty scalloped plates are used on this table.  The gold goblets hold the the napkins.

There some parties I am sharing with:

Fuchsia & Black Love Table

Hello friends, I am sharing another Valentine table with a pretty fuchsia and black theme.  So dramatic and colorful.
I adore these cute little Love bird plates.  I found them at our local Safeway store
.
I created  this pretty rose topiary for the centerpiece.  I started with a foam ball and tucked in the pink roses.  I like using different colors of pink.  It sits in a twig box.  I surrounded it with a  little girl's black tutu, to compliment the theme. Using unexpected items is something I love to play with.
The chairs are also dressed in black satin pillow cases from the dollar store. I then tied a pink chair sash around the chair and tied a pretty bow.  The pink heart  jewel then was added.
Aren't these plates the cutest?  The best part, very affordable. The scalloped charger was set upside down, topped with a black dinner plate.  The black flatware and black goblets tie in nicely with this dramatic table.
As most of you know, I enjoy dressing our chairs and chandeliers.
The black cart holds two tall pink candle holders and candles, surrounded by the pretty pink rose floral and another pink tutu. The large pink heart is another dollar store find.
Sorry I am  not blogging as much recently due to helping my parents and spending time with my visiting brothers. It was so nice to have a family reunion.  My dad is doing better, but he does have some other issues.  My mom is recovering from her cold as well.

Romantic Table For Two

Hello everyone, I am participating in Chloe's Romantic Table for Two Blog Hop. My husband and myself usually dine alone. We usually find ourselves sitting together at our dining table, couch and  sometimes  in the Breakfast room.

With Valentine's so close, I thought a romantic meal in front of the fire would be special.

I am using Parchment Red by Mikasa dishware with a gold bowl.  I folded the red napkin like a blooming rose. Gold flatware compliment the gold in the dishware.

There is something special about a fireplace.  So romantic and cozy.

A lovely red candle and a small vase of roses complete the look.  Of course, I had to use our gold goblet and gold chargers.  Champagne shall be enjoyed as well.  My husband and I have a tradition of having champagne every Sunday.

Thank you Chloe for hosting this fabulous Romantic Blog Hop. I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful tablescape these talented ladies have created.  Please take the time to visit each and everyone.  The list is below.

Hello friends. I wanted to share this table with you.  It's a tribute to New Years!
We had some neighbors in for a simple dinner

The salad plates have stags, along with the napkins, napkin rings, candle holders and of course, the centerpiece.
A new beautiful bronze gold tablecloth from Linentablecloth.com
I made this topiary.  I t is a knock off from Horchow.
I started with a  twig branch planter, that I spray painted gold.
A form topiary ball and a long branch.  Adding lots of flowers and ornaments, plus ribbon.
Gold beaded placemats hold the gold chargers.  The plate stack consists
of  scrolled gold  & clear dinner plates and of course the Pottery Barn  Gold Alpine Toile Salad plate.
Gold flatware and golden goblets complete the look.
Here's to a wonderful bright, healthy New year.
